New Favorite Brands I’ve Discovered This Year
An unexpected “bright” spot of the quarantine was discovering new retailers...or I should say retailers new to me! I definitely ordered some lemons, but I found some new favorites. Here are 10 of them.
Modern + Chic
I was concerned about quality when I ordered from this inexpensive online shop. But I was pleasantly surprised when I received my oversized clutch (in picture). The customer service was great; and the order showed up quickly.
Bauble Bar
I’m in love with Bauble Bar’s jewelry. Yes, they have fine jewelry, but they also have an entire fashion jewelry collection at reasonable prices. Pieces are designed for layering so don’t just order one! (Necklaces in picture.)
Petal & Pup
Again, it’s sometimes a gamble when ordering from an online-only retailer, especially when it comes to the quality of the materials they use. I immediately loved the dress I bought from Pet & Pup when I opened up the package—a thick and stretchy sweater material. I can’t wait to try some other styles! (Dress in picture)
Ahdorned
Ahdorned has the yummiest faux leather bags. The most popular: the crossbody. And they stock an enormous variety of interchangeable straps. I love swapping out a strap to match my outfit, rather than my entire purse.
Artis
These makeup brushes are magical. They create an airbrushed look wherever you apply makeup. They can be used with dry or wet makeup, so they are super versatile. I even use a large brush to apply leg makeup.
Rothy’s
Shoes made to wash AND good for the environment? Yes! These are so incredibly practical, especially in Minnesota as we face messy sidewalks, streets and parking lots over the Winter and early Spring.
L’ange
I ran out of many hair products during quarantine and discovered this brand used by influencer Jocelyn McClellan. They also make hair styling tools; I love the flattening iron I ordered. AND, they regularly deliver discounts to customers. Sign up for texts and you’ll get some great deals on quality hair products.
Wrist Pop
Many moons ago, my sister gifted me a watch that used a scarf as a band. I loved that thing and literally wore it out. I discovered this fun watch band made especially for the Apple Watch. Alternatively, you can buy band connectors and use your own scarf.
SheShow
It’s been so important to me to retain a sense of humor during this uncertain time. SheShow has so many fun, cute and unique graphic tees for women. And I love the price point compared to some other graphic tees that can top the $70 mark.
Zenni
I stumbled on this eye wear brand on social media and HAD to try them. I couldn’t believe the prices—I got four pairs of glasses (with my prescription) for $50! Huh? It’s perfect for someone like me who likes to change my eye wear to match my outfit. “TRENDY NOT SPENDY” they say. So true!
