Trend Alert: Warm Weather Leather

Fall is around the corner…woo hoo! I know, I know, it’s still summer, but I’m thinking just a few weeks ahead. When the temperature doesn’t crack 80 anymore, I start getting excited to break out some fall-ish looks. One trend I’m loving is warm weather leather. (Or vegan leather, in my case!)

There are a few tricks to making leather doable when it’s still warm:

1. Keep it light and bright when it comes to colors

2. Mix a leather piece with lighter fabrics, i.e. linen

3. Pair it with a Springy-pattern like floral or tropical

4. If it’s still hot during the day, reserve the look for evenings

How to wear it in the office

Keep the style of the garment a little more conservative. Leave the mini skirts and leggings for post-work fun times! But leather pieces like these work very well for the office:

• Trouser pants

• Long pleated skirt

• A classic blazer

• A moto jacket without too many embellishments
